Obeetee, the oldest and largest maker of heirloom quality, hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs in India, is a leader in social issues establishing strict rules against child labor practices and developing several environmental and sustainability practices preceeding and exceeding government requirements. They are not, however, exceptional marketers and are looking to develop brand awareness in the U.S.
