Matt McCain, Creative Director, WONGDOODY

Since joining WongDoody in 2000, Matt has worked in both their Seattle and Los Angeles offices, producing internationally recognized (and some not-so-much) work for Alaska Airlines, Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Supersonics and the Washington State Department of Health. Matt lives in an old farmhouse in the sticks where he and his wife raise miniature humans.

John Benedict, Senior Interactive Writer, CP+B

A VCU Brandcenter alum, John Benedict has spent the bulk of his career in the idyllic hippie havens of North County San Diego and Boulder. Despite a chronic networking ineptitude, he somehow finagled his way into the then-budding Colorado office of CPB where he currently holds the title of Sr. Interactive Copywriter – though he may soon buckle to internal pressure and rebrand his position to Lieutenant Creative Sandinista or Rhetorical Thunder Wizard. He has worked on such brands as Burger King, B-Cycle, Brammo, adidas Golf, Microsoft, Coke Zero and Volkswagen

Sunshine Stevens, Senior Art Director

After a prestigious bartending career in San Francisco, Sunshine moved to Portland to run her own shop and learn the business the hard way. She packed up and moved to Seattle, working in various shops until landing squarely at Cole & Weber as a Senior Art Director where she worked on brands such as Nike, Rainier, Gallo, Jones Soda and most recently Washington’s Lottery. She’s been Recognized by the Print Design Annual, the One Show, the Clio Awards, the New York Art Directors Club, Communication Arts, the National Addy Awards, AICP’s Battle of The Brands, AICE, and the Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Awards, American Graphic Design Awards, Web Awards, and the Seattle Show. With the promise a perfect ski season, she’s now freelancing until the first snow falls.

Joel Kaplan, Senior Writer, Pereira O’Dell

Joel began on the more benign side of advertising, as the office manager at Ground Zero in Los Angles. It wasn’t long before he began sitting in on creative meetings and within the year had moved to San Francisco to dive head first into copywriting. In the years that have passed, Joel’s creative duties have taken him as far as Leo Burnett Prague, as digital as AKQA, and as controversial as Crispin Porter and Bogusky. Not only has Joel worked with some of the most high-profile clients in the business such as Nike, Xbox, Volkswagen, Corona, and Burger King, but in 2009 he was named one of the most awarded writers in the world by Creativity Magazine.
